Enviro
Occupational Health and Safety Management System
The Enviro
Occupational Health & Safety Management System is designed to allow
companies to develop and maintain the principles of good management. The
system has been established to assist in compliance with OHSAS 18001 and
with BS 8800, and is based on the HS(G) 65 approach. The Occupational
Health & Safety Management System will provide you with a method of
controlling your Occupational Health & Safety obligations, assist
in minimising risk to employees, aid business performance, and establish
a health and safety culture within your organisation.
Background
HS(G) 65 - Successful Health & Safety Management, was first prepared
by the HSE's Accident Prevention Advisory Unit in 1991 as a practical
guide for directors, managers, health and safety professionals and employee
representatives who wanted to improve health and safety in their organisation.
Together
with legal requirements, the framework described in HS(G) 65 provides
the basis for the approach which HSE inspectors take when auditing an
organisation's arrangements for managing health and safety.
